That's One Big Steer!

Standing 15 tall and over 20 feet in length, Big Bruce is a Chesley celebrity.

Harvey Davis, local beef farmer and politician discovered Big Bruce. In the 1970's, he was toured around Ontario as an ambassador for the Bruce County Cattlemen's Association, representing the booming Bruce County beef industry as well as the 1976 Bruce County Plowing Match.

In 1980, Big Bruce was moved to Chesley, outside of the Elderslie Township Shed, where he stands to this day. Many people say that when they think of Chesley, they think of Big Bruce. On any given day, you will see people stopped to take their picture with this Bruce County celebrity. We are proud to have him call Chesley home!
